TESTING: "AMAZING"... →
Nivea My Sihouette! Body Gel-Cream.
So I saw the commercials. And the magazine ads. And I’m not one to fall for the “make your body look amazing with just using this amazing product!” deal that some companies have going on. Been there, done that. (see: time in 10th grade where I took too many diet pills and had a racing heart and broke out in hives for an entire day)
But...
I hereby declare every friday as...
SKINNY JEAN FRIDAY.
Idea stolen from the Mayo Clinic. Along with about 90% of all my other diet ideas. But anyways, find a pair of pants that are tight but you’re still able to zip up. Got it? Alright, now: put them on. Assess the situation. Repeat every Friday.
It’s a great way to track progress. Are they loose? If they are, it’ll give you motivation to keep up the...
The verdict:
My “amazing” salad had:
124 Calories
4 grams of Protein
27 grams of Carbohydrates
3 grams of Lipids
32% of Daily Vitamines
22% of Daily Minerals
I just had an amazing salad.
Ugh, so good. It was strawberries, blueberries, leaf lettuce and balsamic vinagerette. I’m going to figure out the calories at work…post it later.

Uggggh, I think I'm sick.
My current symptoms: Nausea, severe joint pains, fatigue and general malaise.

Woke up a little late. Had a nice sit-down breakfast of weird, healthy cereal and a coffee. Trying to force myself to go to the gym and driving range - my joints are really killing me today. I couldn’t sleep at all last night because my elbow and knee were giving me problems. I have a lot of joint problems, so hopefully something isn’t flaring up now but…yeah.

Recap.
Weighed myself this morning and same as last Friday. Which is sort of good cause I didn’t work out at all and partied with friends. Today was good - morning work out went well, didn’t snack throughout the day, went on a two hour walk with my friends just now. Going to get up at 7:30 and have a nice, calm breakfast - hopefully a little healthier than sports drinks and yogurt…
Spice up your life.
A fun diet tip is to eat spicy food or add spices to your food. It’s a flavor boost and will ultimately leave you feeling satisfied sooner when eating. It’s because food with more flavor stimulates the taste buds and leave you feeling satisfied with your meal, therefore you won’t eat as much then or later.

By the way:
All my tips are coming from the Mayo Clinic website (for now, I have other websites, don’t ya’ll worry). And most photos are from Bing/Google Images, so I don’t get shit for copy rights or anything, I guess.

A (semi) good start.
Woke up an hour later than I was suppose to, so had to have breakfast on the fly. Grabbed a low-cal gatorade, a 100 calorie yogurt and a hard-boiled egg. Went to the driving range for 45 minutes and then went to the Wisconsin Athletic Club and worked out on an elliptical for 45 minutes. Now I’m home. Off to take a shower, have a quick lunch and then my job as a nanny.
Fun dieting fact:...
Variety is (apparently) overrated
“Who hasn’t heard the advice to “just take a bite of everything” if you’re at a buffet?
But as it turns out, variety doesn’t deserve its good reputation, says Dawn Jackson Blatner, RD, a Chicago dietitian and spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association.
“We know that variety makes you eat more,” she says, citing several published studies and...

There's more to fab abs than just exercise →
…and speaking of regaining my old, flat abs…
For some context:
Before:
This is probably my lowest weight…when I was about 130ish. And granted, this is from high school but I really haven’t changed in height since, so I don’t think it’s unrealistic to want this body again. And this is from my intense, “let’s just not eat for a couple of days to loose weight and throw up what we do” phase. So I wasn’t...
The start of a beginning.
Alright, so I’ve had a week to unwind from getting back from college. Therefore, tomorrow starts my summer routine. I’d thought I’d share it with you:
Wake up at 7:30.
Breakfast: Coffee (black), yogurt/cereal, fruit
Driving range from 8:30 - 9:30
Gym from 10 - 11
Quick (healthy) lunch and shower
Work from 12:30 - 5:30
Relax.

For the weekend...
Okay, so I had that video up before of alcoholic choices you should make on a diet.
However, the woman was too annoying for me to handle, so I decided to write down the tips instead.
Obviously alcohol and dieting don’t mix well but it’s also absurd to cut yourself off completely. Here’s some tips:
Wine is the best.
Obviously wine comes out on top. Besides having less...

CRON-O-Meter

I basically use it all the time.
Amazing Smoothie.
Alright, so to kick off my first entry, I’ll give you the recipe for the amazing smoothie I just created with an estimated calorie count:
Ingredients:
Handful of your favorite fruit. I picked rasberries, blueberries, blackberries and a Banana
1 yogurt of your choice. I like the low-fat Wallaby yogurts (I picked blueberry for this smoothie)
I cup of ice
Splash of any kind of juice
